Jesus Is
Loved
And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, "This is My
beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." (Matthew 3:17
NKJV)
"The Father
loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. (John
3:35 NKJV)
"For the
Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself
does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel.
(John 5:20 NKJV)
"Therefore My
Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it
again. (John 10:17 NKJV)
"Behold! My Servant whom I have
chosen, My Beloved in whom My soul is
well pleased! I will put My Spirit upon Him, And He will declare justice
to the Gentiles. (Matthew 12:18 NKJV)
While he was still speaking, behold, a
bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the
cloud, saying, "This is My beloved Son,
in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!" (Matthew 17:5 NKJV)
"Father, I desire that they also whom
You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which
You have given Me; for You loved Me before the
foundation of the world. (John 17:24 NKJV)
We Are Loved With
The Same Love
"I
in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the
world may know that You have sent Me, and have
loved them as You have loved Me. (John 17:23 NKJV)
"And I have declared to them Your
name, and will declare it, that the love
with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them."
(John 17:26 NKJV)
"As the Father loved Me, I also have
loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide
in My love, just as I have kept My
Father's commandments and abide in His love. (John 15:9-10 NKJV)
"for the
Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have
believed that I came forth from God. (John 16:27 NKJV)
But God
demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were
still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8 NKJV)
But God, who is rich in mercy, because
of His great love with which He loved us, (Ephesians 2:4 NKJV)
He has delivered us from the power of
darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the
Son of His love, (Colossians 1:13 NKJV)
Behold what manner of love
the Father has bestowed on us,
that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not
know us, because it did not know Him. (1 John 3:1 NKJV)
Call Each Other
Beloved
Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but
concerning the election they are beloved
for the sake of the fathers. (Romans 11:28 NKJV)
Beloved,
do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is
written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the
Lord. (Romans 12:19 NKJV)
I do not write these things to shame you,
but as my beloved children I warn you.
(1 Corinthians 4:14 NKJV)
Therefore, my
beloved, flee from idolatry. (1 Corinthians 10:14 NKJV)
Therefore, my
beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in
the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
(1 Corinthians 15:58 NKJV)
Therefore, having these promises, beloved,
let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit,
perfecting holiness in the fear of God. (2 Corinthians 7:1 NKJV)
Again, do you think that we excuse
ourselves to you? We speak before God in Christ. But we do all
things, beloved, for your edification.
(2 Corinthians 12:19 NKJV)
to the praise of the glory of His grace,
by which He has made us accepted IN the Beloved.
(Ephesians 1:6 NKJV)
Therefore, my
beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only,
but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and
trembling; (Philippians 2:12 NKJV)
Therefore, my
beloved and longed-for brethren, my joy and crown, so stand
fast in the Lord, beloved. (Philippians 4:1 NKJV)
Therefore, as the elect of God,
holy and beloved, put on tender
mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; (Colossians 3:12
NKJV)
knowing, beloved
brethren, your election by God. (1 Thessalonians 1:4 NKJV)
But we are bound to give thanks to God
always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord,
because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through
sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth, (2 Thessalonians
2:13 NKJV)
And those who have believing masters, let
them not despise them because they are brethren, but rather serve them
because those who are benefited are believers and beloved.
Teach and exhort these things. (1 Timothy 6:2 NKJV)
But, beloved,
we are confident of better things concerning you, yes, things that
accompany salvation, though we speak in this manner. (Hebrews 6:9 NKJV)
Do not be deceived, my beloved
brethren. (James 1:16 NKJV)
So then, my beloved
brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;
(James 1:19 NKJV)
Listen, my beloved
brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in
faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?
(James 2:5 NKJV)
Beloved,
I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts
which war against the soul, (1 Peter 2:11 NKJV)
Beloved,
do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as
though some strange thing happened to you; (1 Peter 4:12 NKJV)
Beloved,
I now write to you this second epistle (in both of which I stir up
your pure minds by way of reminder), (2 Peter 3:1 NKJV)
But, beloved,
do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a
thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (2 Peter 3:8 NKJV)
Therefore, beloved,
looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace,
without spot and blameless; and consider that the longsuffering of
our Lord is salvation----as also our beloved brother Paul,
according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, (2 Peter 3:14-15
NKJV)
You therefore, beloved,
since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your
own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; (2 Peter
3:17 NKJV)
Beloved,
now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall
be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we
shall see Him as He is. (1 John 3:2 NKJV)
Beloved,
if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. (1 John
3:21 NKJV)
Beloved,
do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of
God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. (1 John 4:1
NKJV)
Beloved,
let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is
born of God and knows God. (1 John 4:7 NKJV)
Beloved,
if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. (1 John 4:11 NKJV)
Beloved,
you do faithfully whatever you do for the brethren and for strangers, (3
John 1:5 NKJV)
Beloved,
do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. He who does good is of God,
but he who does evil has not seen God. (3 John 1:11 NKJV)
Beloved,
while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation,
I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly
for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. (Jude 1:3
NKJV)
But you, beloved,
remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord
Jesus Christ: (Jude 1:17 NKJV)
But you, beloved,
building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy
Spirit, (Jude 1:20 NKJV)
Refer To Yourself
As Loved
Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of His disciples, whom
Jesus loved. (John 13:23 NKJV)
When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and
the disciple whom He
loved standing by, He said to His mother, "Woman, behold
your son!" (John 19:26 NKJV)
Then she ran and came to Simon Peter, and
to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved,
and said to them, "They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and
we do not know where they have laid Him." (John 20:2 NKJV)
Therefore that disciple
whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It is the Lord!" Now
when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer
garment (for he had removed it), and plunged into the sea. (John 21:7 NKJV)
Then Peter, turning around, saw the disciple
whom Jesus loved following, who also had leaned on His breast
at the supper, and said, "Lord, who is the one who betrays You?"
(John 21:20 NKJV)
Love One Another
"And the second is like it: `You
shall love your neighbor as yourself.' (Matthew 22:39 NKJV)
"A new commandment I give to you,
that you love one another; as I have
loved you, that you also love one another. "By this all will know
that you are My disciples, if you have love for
one another." (John 13:34-35 NKJV)
"This is My commandment, that you love
one another as I have loved you. "Greater love has no one
than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends. (John 15:12-13
NKJV)
"These things I command you, that you
love one another. (John 15:17 NKJV)
So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus
said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than
these?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love
You." He said to him, "Feed My lambs."
He said to him again a second time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love
Me?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You."
He said to him, "Tend My sheep."
He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love
Me?" Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time,
"Do you love Me?" And he said to Him, "Lord, You know all
things; You know that I love You." Jesus said to him, "Feed
My sheep. (John 21:15-17 NKJV)
Be kindly affectionate to
one another with
brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another;
(Romans 12:10 NKJV)
Owe no one anything except to love
one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.
For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You
shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall
not bear false witness," "You shall not covet," and if
there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely,
"You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love
is the fulfillment of the law. (Romans 13:8-10 NKJV)
Yet if your brother is grieved because of your
food, you are no longer walking in love.
Do not destroy with your food the one for whom Christ died. (Romans 14:15
NKJV)
Though I speak with the tongues of men and
of angels, but have not love, I have
become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift
of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and
though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not
love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the
poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have
not love, it profits me nothing. Love suffers long and
is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade
itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own,
is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but
rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all
things, endures all things. Love never fails. But whether there
are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will
cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. For we know in
part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come,
then that which is in part will be done away. When I was a child, I spoke
as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I
became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror,
dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know
just as I also am known. And now abide faith, hope, love, these
three; but the greatest of these is love.
(1 Corinthians 13:1-13 NKJV)
Pursue love,
and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. (1
Corinthians 14:1 NKJV)
Let all that you do be
done with love. (1 Corinthians
16:14 NKJV)
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision
nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith
working through love. (Galatians 5:6 NKJV)
For you, brethren, have been called to
liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh,
but through love serve one another.
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: "You
shall love your neighbor as yourself." (Galatians 5:13-14
NKJV)
I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord,
beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with
all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing
with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the
Spirit in the bond of peace. (Ephesians 4:1-3 NKJV)
but, speaking the
truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the
head----Christ---- from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by
what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which
every part does its share, causes growth of the body for
the edifying of itself in love. (Ephesians 4:15-16 NKJV)
And walk in love,
as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a
sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. (Ephesians 5:2 NKJV)
And this I pray, that your
love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all
discernment, (Philippians 1:9 NKJV)
Therefore, as the elect of God,
holy and beloved, put on tender mercies,
kindness, humility, meekness,
longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another,
if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so
you also must do. But above all these
things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.
(Colossians 3:12-14 NKJV)
And may the Lord make you increase and abound
in love to one another and to all, just as we do to you,
(1 Thessalonians 3:12 NKJV)
But concerning brotherly love you have no
need that I should write to you, for you
yourselves are taught by God to love one another; (1
Thessalonians 4:9 NKJV)
But let us who are of the day be sober, putting
on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet
the hope of salvation. (1 Thessalonians 5:8 NKJV)
We are bound to thank God always for you,
brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the
love of every one of you all abounds toward each other, (2
Thessalonians 1:3 NKJV)
For God has not given us a
spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
(2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV)
Let brotherly love
continue.
(Hebrews 13:1 NKJV)
If you really fulfill the royal law
according to the Scripture, "You shall love
your neighbor as yourself," you do well; (James 2:8 NKJV)
Since you have purified your souls in
obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere
love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart,
(1 Peter 1:22 NKJV)
Honor all people. Love
the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king. (1 Peter 2:17 NKJV)
Finally, all of you be of one mind,
having compassion for one another; love as
brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; (1
Peter 3:8 NKJV)
And above all things
have fervent love for one another, for "love will cover a multitude
of sins." Be
hospitable to one another without grumbling. (1 Peter 4:8-9 NKJV)
But also for this very reason, giving all
diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge
self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to
godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.
(2 Peter 1:5-7 NKJV)
He who loves his
brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him.
(1 John 2:10 NKJV)
In this the children of God and the
children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice
righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does
not love his brother. For this is the message that you heard
from the beginning, that we should love one
another, (1 John 3:10-11 NKJV)
But whoever has this world's goods, and
sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how
does the love of God abide in him? My little children, let us
not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in
truth. (1 John 3:17-18 NKJV)
And this is His commandment: that we
should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and
love one another, as He gave us commandment. (1 John 3:23 NKJV)
Beloved, let us love
one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born
of God and knows God. He who does not love does
not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was
manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the
world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved
God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation
for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we
also ought to love one another. No one has seen God at any
time. If we love one another, God abides in us,
and His love has been perfected in us. (1 John 4:7-12 NKJV)
And we have known and believed the love
that God has for us. God is love, and he who
abides in love abides in God, and God in him. Love has been
perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of
judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in
love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he
who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him
because He first loved us. If someone says,
"I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who
does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he
has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that
he who loves God must love his brother also. (1 John
4:16-21 NKJV)
By this we know that
we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His
commandments. (1 John 5:2 NKJV)
And now I plead with you, lady, not as
though I wrote a new commandment to you, but that which we have had from
the beginning: that we love one another.
(2 John 1:5 NKJV)
But you, beloved, building yourselves up
on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep
yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our
Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. (Jude 1:20-21 NKJV)
